About us

THATCHERS ISLAND CARP FISHERY is self built and operated carp fishing venue in north devon. Created and owned by YouTube angler Leon Vledder under the Southwest Carp Hunter Channel the lake was Built from the ground up in 2020. The lake itself is 2.2 acres in size home to 60 premier class carp including a mix of upper doubles, mid 20s and 3 current fish well over 30lb with the current lake record standing at 36lb common carp. These fish since inception in 2020 simply just don't stop growing in size year on year

***SWIM INFOMATION***

The fishery has a total of 5 swims with the 5th being a double swim to accommodate 2 anglers sharing. This swim can be booked when calling the booking line for when pairs booking in. If no pairs are booked in during your stay the double swim can be used for single angler use but prior consent must be obtained first. You can check this when you book.

The double swim can also be booked as a single angler with use upto 4 rods @£50 per 24hrs

NO RETAINING OF FISH OVERNIGHT

THE USE OF BAIT BOATS AND POLES IS PERMITTED

THE DOUBLE SWIM ON THE ISLAND IS RESERVED EXCLISIVELY FOR DOUBLE SWIM TICKET HOLDERS

IF NO ANGLERS HAVE BOOKED THE DOUBLE SWIM ON THE DAY OF YOUR SESSION IT IS AVAILABLE FOR USE BUT CONSENT MUST BE OBTAINED PRIOR

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL ANGLERS TO HAVE AN ENVIRONMENT AGENCY ROD LICENCE
